High School is a time to try new things - and sports is one of them.  Its a chance to learn and grow; win and lose.  The foundations of sport - teamwork, commitment, the perseverance - are all life skills and a collective shared memory for so many friends.  Currently, there are barriers to access.  High school athletics costs are increasing and students are missing out.  

In 2023, a community of like-minded sports crazed individuals came up the notion to host an event that supports high school athletics.  And so, Sparkle & Swagger was born. 

All proceeds from the event will be equally distributed amongst the four high schools in the Kawartha Lakes - Fenelon Falls Secondary School, I.E Weldon, Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute, and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School - in coordination and consultation with their respective athletic directors.

Sponsored by KL Hockey, a registered non-profit led by volunteers and a board of directors focused on enriching a players' hockey experience while giving back to the community through sport.
